Ilma Noor: A Story of Strength and Education
Ilma Noor is a young girl with a gentle smile and a big dream: to become a doctor. Behind this dream is a story of courage, sacrifice, and resilience. Her father lost his foot during the tragic Danyor landslide incident in Gilgit Baltistan, where volunteers were working to restore a damaged water channel after floods had disrupted the area’s water supply. The incident left several volunteers dead and injured, and changed Ilma Noor’s family life forever.
Since losing his foot, Ilma Noor’s father has been unable to work, leaving the family in deep financial hardship and uncertainty. Despite these challenges, Ilma Noor has remained focused on her education. She is a bright student who consistently achieves top grades, and she finds joy in badminton and dancing.
With the generous support of a donor and Niaz Support, Ilma Noor has secured admission to Diamond Jubilee High School, Muhammadabad Danyore, Gilgit. Through Subah Sehar, Niaz Support’s education initiative, she is receiving complete educational support, including her school uniform, books, learning materials, and health insurance, ensuring uninterrupted access to quality education. Today, Ilma Noor’s dream of becoming a doctor feels closer than ever. It is no longer just a wish. It is a path already beginning to unfold.
