Small Smiles, Silent Strength: TA’s Customised Wheelchair Gift Changing Lives in South Punjab

In South Punjab, disability is not just a condition; it is a daily challenge shaped by limited access and opportunities. Through the platform Niaz Support and the generous support of TA, five individuals, three women and two young girls have received customised wheelchairs, bringing comfort, dignity, and hope into their lives. Each story is different, yet equally powerful, showing how a simple act of kindness can create lasting change.

Rozina, a young woman living with polio, has never allowed her condition to define her. She is a skilled stitching master trainer who teaches other women so they can earn and become independent. Despite her physical challenges, she remained dedicated to her work and community. With the customised wheelchair gifted by TA, Rozina can now move more easily and continue her mission of empowering others. Her strength reflects true resilience and purpose.

Misbha, a young and innocent girl, dreams of going to school like other children. Due to her disability, she spent most of her time at home, unable to experience a normal childhood. Her father, who is also affected by polio, brought her with love and care to receive her wheelchair. With a bright smile, she thanked TA for this life-changing gift. Now, Misbha hopes to begin her education and build a better future, carrying both her dreams and her father’s support.

Najma, a young woman suffering from muscular dystrophy, has faced years of physical struggle. Daily tasks were difficult, and mobility was limited. After receiving her customised wheelchair, she shared that her life would finally become easier. This support has given her a renewed sense of independence and hope, allowing her to move with more comfort and confidence in her daily life.

Saima, who is also living with muscular dystrophy, developed her condition later in life. The sudden change brought many challenges, affecting her mobility and routine. Like Najma, she faced these struggles quietly. With TA’s customised wheelchair, Saima now feels a sense of relief and independence returning to her life. This support has helped her regain control and move forward with strength.

Urooj Fatima, a young girl living with cerebral palsy, faces multiple challenges. She cannot speak clearly, and her eyesight is weak. Despite this, her presence speaks volumes. Her father’s emotions during the wheelchair distribution reflected deep love and gratitude. This customised wheelchair has brought ease into Urooj’s life and comfort to her family, showing the silent strength that exists within both child and parent.
