From Lodhran to Hope: Dr. Farzana Hina’s Gift of a Customised Wheelchair Bringing Ease and Dignity

A woman from Lodhran, South Punjab, living with muscular dystrophy, shares her emotional journey of struggle and hope. She is a mother of young children, and for years, even simple tasks like going to get medicine were extremely difficult. Her children had to carry her along broken and muddy roads, where every movement felt like a challenge. Despite these hardships, she never lost hope for ease and dignity in her life.

Her life changed when she received a customised wheelchair gifted by Dr. Farzana Hina through Niaz Support, a platform working to support people with disabilities. She expresses deep happiness and gratitude, saying that this support has turned her daily struggles into moments of relief. The broken paths, mud, and difficult roads that once made every step painful have now become easier to cross, giving her the independence and comfort she had long wished for.

This story reflects the reality of disability in Pakistan, especially the struggles faced by women living with physical challenges. Many women experience not only mobility issues but also social and emotional barriers in their daily lives. She also says with deep gratitude that she is continuously praying for Dr. Farzana Hina, asking Allah to bless them with health, success, and rewards for their kindness. Initiatives like this are improving women’s lives in Pakistan, empowering women with disabilities, and showing how a simple act like providing a customised wheelchair can bring dignity, hope, and a new beginning.
