Aliyan Khan’s Journey of Hope in Karachi: Supported by Zeen Education Sponsorship Network
Through Subah Sehar, an initiative by Niaz Support, children of disabled parents are being given the opportunity to continue their education and step toward a better future. Among them is Aliyan Khan, a young boy whose life changed after receiving admission to Aga Khan School Karachi, a respected private school where he is now studying in Grade 5. For Aliyan and his family, this was not just admission to a school — it was a moment of hope during one of the hardest times of their lives. Aliyan dreams of becoming a scientist one day and finds happiness in Mathematics, Science, and football, even while carrying the pain of his family’s struggles in his heart.
Nearly five years ago, Aliyan’s father became paralyzed and lost his ability to work as a driver. The sudden illness pushed the family into financial hardship, forcing them to spend all their savings on medical treatment before moving to Karachi in search of better healthcare and a chance to survive. As if this suffering was not enough, Aliyan’s mother also became seriously ill and now undergoes dialysis regularly. Watching both parents suffer every day deeply affected Aliyan, yet his parents refused to let their hardships destroy their son’s future. They believed that getting their child into a better private school could change his life forever.
During this painful journey, the support of the Zeen Education Sponsorship Network became a lifeline for the family. Through the efforts of Niaz Support, founded by Hussain Odhwani, Aliyan was given the chance to continue his education with dignity and hope. For a child of disabled parents, studying in a private school once felt impossible, but today Aliyan walks into his classroom carrying dreams instead of fear. His story is a reminder that one opportunity, one act of kindness, and one child’s education can truly change an entire family’s life.
