Hussan Pari: Painting a Brighter Future
Hussan Pari is a bright and polite Grade 9 student from Gilgit who loves to paint. Painting brings her peace and helps her cope with the difficulties around her. Like many children her age, she has big dreams for her future. She wants to become a doctor so that one day she can help people in need.
Her family’s life changed on May 30, 2026, when her father, Zakir Hussain, fell from a roof and suffered a severe spinal cord injury that left him paralyzed. He was no longer able to work, and the family lost its only source of income. To support the family, Hussan Pari’s mother started working as a private school teacher. However, what she earns is not enough to manage the family’s daily expenses, pay for her husband’s medical care, and cover the educational needs of their three children. Their financial situation became so difficult that Hussan Pari nearly had to leave school. Despite everything, she remained determined to continue her education after earning an A in Grade 8.
Thankfully, a generous sponsor stepped forward to support Hussan Pari’s education at Elysian School System. This scholarship has allowed her to remain in school and continue working toward her dream of becoming a doctor. It has also brought much-needed relief and hope to her family during an extremely difficult time. We are deeply grateful to her generous sponsor for believing in her and giving her the chance to build the future she deserves.
