Hurab’s Journey in South Punjab: A Small Girl’s Hope Restored by Al Muyassir
Hurab is a 6th-grade student from South Punjab living with polio, but despite her challenges, there is a softness and innocence in her smile that instantly stays with you. She sweetly shared that her name, Hurab, means “a beautiful girl of paradise,” and when she was jokingly asked who that beautiful girl was, she shyly smiled and replied, “Me.” In that small moment, everyone around her laughed, and for a little while, life simply felt lighter.
With the support of Al Muyassir, Hurab received a customised wheelchair that brought her comfort, mobility, and a little more freedom for her everyday life and education. Watching her quietly smile while moving around in her wheelchair on her own was an emotional reminder that children do not always ask for much. It may seem like a small happiness today, but for a child like Hurab, it is the kind of ease and confidence that stays with her for a long time.
