In South Punjab, two different lives were carrying two very different struggles. Laal Mai, after years of illness and a spinal cord injury, had slowly lost the freedom to move on her own. On the other side was Hasnain, a young school-going child born with a congenital condition, still holding tightly onto his dreams despite the physical challenges surrounding him.
For Laal Mai, a customised wheelchair meant relief after years of dependence and exhaustion. For Hasnain, it meant a little more freedom to continue moving toward education and childhood dreams. The same gift reached two different lives, yet carried two completely different meanings — comfort for one, and possibility for another.
