From Dera Ghazi Khan to Hope: Nadeem Abbas’s Journey Supported by Haider Hasan
Nadeem Abbas is a young boy from Dera Ghazi Khan, South Punjab. By birth, one of his legs is shorter, and he lives with a physical disability. Living with disability in Pakistan is not easy, especially for children who carry big dreams in difficult circumstances. However, Nadeem has never allowed his condition to break his spirit. He dreams of becoming a cricketer and hopes to one day represent himself on the field like other young athletes.
His journey has not been easy. Due to the lack of proper support and the unavailability of a wheelchair, he often struggled to practice and move freely. He tried hard to exercise and stay connected to his passion, but without the necessary support, his progress remained limited. This reflects the challenges faced by many people with disabilities in Pakistan, where talent often goes unnoticed due to a lack of resources and accessibility. Still, Nadeem holds on to his belief that dreams do not shrink because of circumstances.
