From Struggle to Smile: Fozia Zafar’s Gift Changes Aniya’s Life in South Punjab

In rural Pakistan, disability is often misunderstood, and families face many challenges due to limited awareness and resources. Aniya, a 5-year-old girl from South Punjab, was born with Spina bifida, a condition that has made it impossible for her to move on her own. At such a young age, she depends entirely on her parents. Her father, who runs a small fruit stall, struggles to provide the best care he can. Despite these hardships, Aniya is a school-going child in grade prep, full of hope and innocence, dreaming of a life like other children.

Mobility was the biggest obstacle in her journey. Going to school was difficult, and her parents constantly worried about her future, knowing that supporting her physically would become even harder with time. This situation changed when Fozia Zafar stepped forward with kindness and compassion, gifting Aniya a customised wheelchair through the platform Niaz Support. Her generous act was not just a gift; it was a meaningful gesture that gave Aniya independence, confidence, and the ability to continue her education more easily.

The happiness on Aniya’s face was beyond words. With her beautiful smile and a soft dimple lighting up her face, she expressed heartfelt thanks to Fozia Zafar. Though her words were few, they carried deep gratitude and sincere prayers. This act of kindness shows how one person’s compassion can truly transform a child’s life. Aniya’s story is a powerful reminder that while disability in Pakistan remains a challenge, individuals like Fozia Zafar are creating real change—one meaningful gift at a time.
